三菱重工とボーイングは”直接民間取引(DCS)方式で航空自衛隊が保有するF-15J戦闘機の大規模改修計画(JSI)を支援する契約を締結した。契約内容は、最初の2機の改修のために、ボーイングが図面、地上支援機材、技術仕様書、を用意する、2022年に開始して合計98機の改修を行う、というもの。(Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Boeing have signed a Direct Commercial Sales(DCS) agreement to Japan’s fleet of F-15J.
