真冬の総選挙に向け、1月15日に新党「中道改革連合」が結成され、通常国会開催日の前日22日に、ドタバタで結党大会が開催された。
この「中道改革連合」は、立憲民主党と公明党の衆議院議員と候補者が離党し、新たに集まって結党した。この政党は、新しく誕生した政党でありながらフレッシュな感じがなかった。
結果は大惨敗で、大物議員の落選が相次いた。落ちるべくして落ちたと言えよう。
新しい政党の成功には、何が必要なのか。大失敗に至った要因は何かなど、いろいろと考えさせられる総選挙であった。
令和8年1月、我が国および台湾周辺における中露軍および北朝鮮の活動は高い水準のまま。これに対し我国および同盟諸国は、警戒を緩めることなく抑止力強化に努めている。
