本稿は木村良一氏の寄稿です。今月8月12日に日航ジャンボ機墜落事故は発生から40年の節目を迎える。しかし、長い歳月が流れても解決されない問題がある。「事故調の過ち」と「陰謀論・撃墜説の正体」は6月号、7月号で述べたので、今回はボーイング社が明らかにしない「修理ミスの理由」について書こう。
2025年7月18~20日、イギリス空軍フェアフォード(Fairford, Gloucestershire)基地で「The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025」（王立国際航空ショー）が開催された。ここでジェネラル・アトミックス社(GA-ASI=General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc.)は、米空軍向けに開発を進めている「共同戦闘無人機 (CCA= Collaborative Combat Aircraft)「YQF-42A」をヨーロッパでも生産する、と発表した。(General Atomics Aeronautical System Inc. (GA-ASI) announced that, they plan to develop European-build uncrewed loyal wingman based on the YFQ-42A, which is developing for USAF’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA). 2025年7月9日SUBAEUは、防衛装備庁に遠隔操作型支援機技術の研究に使うための実験機を納入した。この研究を通して、[CCA=Collaborative Combat Aircraft](“共同戦闘無人機”の意)、すなわち、有人戦闘機と連携して飛行するのに必要な自律飛行技術や有人機からの指示で飛ぶ遠隔操作技術などの開発を進め、2027年の実用化を目指す。

令和7年6月、我が国および台湾周辺における中露両軍の活動は一段と活発化している。中国軍は、5月下旬から１か月間空母２隻を含む打撃艦隊を我国南方海域に展開威圧行動を行った。ロシア軍については、中谷防衛相が記者会見で、我国周辺で活発な軍事活動を継続し最新の装備を配備しつつある、と述べ警戒を呼びかけた。これに対し我国および同盟諸国は、警戒を緩めることなく抑止力強化に努めている。

本稿は木村良一氏の寄稿です。1985（昭和60）年8月12日、日本航空のジャンボ機が御巣鷹の尾根に墜落して520人が亡くなった。あの墜落事故から40年という歳月が過ぎようとするなか、いまだに解決されない課題がある。運輸省航空事故調査委員会（事故調）の過ち、陰謀論・撃墜説の流布、修理ミスの理由を明らかにしないボーイング社の体質―の3つである。前回は「なぜ事故調は過ちを犯したのか」というタイトルで事故調の過ちを述べたので、今回は陰謀論・撃墜説について話そう。
日本航空とオランダに本社のあるマエブ・エアロスペース(MAEVE Aerospace)社は、ハイブリッド電動オープン・ローター/ステーター・エンジンを２基尾部に装備する[MAEVE Jet] 、[MJ500]の開発で協力することを合意した。[MJ500]は76~100席級のリージョナル機で既存機に比べ燃料消費量を40 %削減する。

ユナイテッド航空(United Airlines)は、スタートアップ企業 [JetZero] 社が開発中の翼胴一体型 [BWB=Blended Wing Body] 輸送機について、今年4月24日に開発費の出資と、条件付き発注100機とオプション100機の発注を発表した。
