日・英・伊共同開発の次世代戦闘機「GCAP」の近況
2026年6月末にBAEシステムズは、一部の欧州専門メデイアにほぼ完成に近づいた日英伊共同開発の戦闘機[GCAP]の技術実証機を公開した。(BAE Systems exhibit UK’s new combat war plane, GCAP, flying demonstrator to the small group of European experts, which expect to fly end of 2027. )

商船三井(Mitsui OSK)は、日本航空(JAL)、ロイド船級協会(Lloyd’s Register)およびレジェント・クラフト(REGENT)と共に、レジェントが開発する電動”地面効果翼機 (WIG)”「シーグライダー (Seaglider)」の日本での実用化に協力する事を決め、先に3社が締結した「機体の認証・運航許可の取得を共同で進めるための合意書」に参加、署名した。

金属成分の多い小惑星「サイキ」調査用の探査機、順調に飛行中
NASAは宇宙探査ミッションの一つとして小惑星帯にある金属を多く含む小惑星「サイキ/ Psyche」(プシュケとも呼ぶ)を調べるため探査機を2023年10月13日に打上げた。目的の小惑星の探査は2029年に始まる。プロジェクト管理は、「サイキ」探査機システムの大部分を開発したNASA-JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory)が担当する。

イギリスのスタートアップ企業「バーテイカル・エアロスペース(Vertical Aerospace)は最新型電動航空機「バロ(Valo)」を開発中だが、エンジンに「エボリト(Evolito)」社が開発する「アキシャル・フラックス・電動モーター(Axial-Flux Motor)」を選定した。「エボリト」は、自動車メーカー「メルセデス・ベンツ(Mercedes-Bentz)」配下の電動モーター企業「YASA」から分離した航空宇宙部門専門のベンチャー企業である。
