2021年5月５日（水曜日）午後５時24分、スターシップ試作機SN15は高空飛行試験を終えてゆっくりと着地スポットに着陸した。これまでの試験でいずれも着地で失敗・爆発しているため、人々が固唾を呑んで見守る中での成功だった。これまでの4回の試験では、いずれも高度10 kmに上昇、ここで「ベリー・フロップ(bellyflop)」つまり”姿勢を垂直から水平に”する操作を行い、降下するのには成功したが、着地に失敗、爆発・炎上した。(On the afternoon of May 5th, 2021, at 05:24 PM local time, SpaceX made its fifth attempt at a high-altitude test flight and soft landing with a Starship prototype.
