スペースXは7月24日に、同社のスターベースから巨大ブースターを使い第13回目のスターシップ試験飛行を行った。経過はほぼ完璧で全長53 mのスターシップは、オーストラリア沖のインド洋に計画通りに完全な状態で着水した。しかし残念な事に着水したスターシップを回収すべくオーストラリアに曳航を試みたが失敗、8月7日に水没した。
