最新鋭の有人戦闘機と行動し空戦を共にする高性能無人戦闘機（CCA= Cooperative Combat Aircraft）試作機にノースロップ・グラマン社が選定された。僅か15ヶ月間で開発された「タロン・ブルー(Talon Blue)」は、空軍から第２次選考で「YFQ-48A」として選定された。

日・英・伊共同開発の次世代戦闘機「GCAP」の近況
2026年6月末にBAEシステムズは、一部の欧州専門メデイアにほぼ完成に近づいた日英伊共同開発の戦闘機[GCAP]の技術実証機を公開した。(BAE Systems exhibit UK’s new combat war plane, GCAP, flying demonstrator to the small group of European experts, which expect to fly end of 2027. )
レジェント・シーグライダー、日本での就航開始近づく
商船三井(Mitsui OSK)は、日本航空(JAL)、ロイド船級協会(Lloyd’s Register)およびレジェント・クラフト(REGENT)と共に、レジェントが開発する電動”地面効果翼機 (WIG)”「シーグライダー (Seaglider)」の日本での実用化に協力する事を決め、先に3社が締結した「機体の認証・運航許可の取得を共同で進めるための合意書」に参加、署名した。

陸自、新年度予算で「多用途ドローン・UAV」導入を急ぐ
令和８(2026)年4月7日に令和８年度予算が成立した。一般会計総額は122兆3000億円、防衛予算は９兆353億円と決まった。この中で、令和８年度に結ぶ契約額として「多用途ドローン」を含む「無人アセット防衛能力」構築に関わる費用は2,800億円と決定した。（算定方法の違いでは3128億円）
